How to use tampons
Wash your hands, open the pack and remove one tampon. If you have a Tampax Pearl Compak tampon, gently pull out the inner tube of the applicator (towards the end of the string to pull out the tampon) until you feel resistance.Sit on the toilet bowl with your legs wide apart or stand with one leg resting on the bowl. Remember to relax, you can take a few deep breaths.With one hand, hold the swab by the bottom of the outer tube of the applicator. Place the rounded end of the tampon at the vaginal opening and point it backwards towards the spine. The string to pull out the tampon must be unwound and hang down freely.Take a few breaths and with a twisting motion, start gently inserting the applicator into the vagina, aiming towards the spine. As soon as your fingers touch the body, it means the applicator is already in the right place.Hold the outer tube of the applicator and push the inner tube into the outer tube with your index finger until you encounter resistance. At this point, the tampon will slip out of the applicator and be placed in the vagina. If you feel discomfort, it means that the tampon has been inserted incorrectly or is also inserted too shallowly. Pull it out and try again to insert a new tampon.
If the tampon is already in place and you don't feel any discomfort, make sure the string to pull the tampon out is hanging loosely. Then carefully pull out the applicator, wrap it in the tampon packaging and throw it in the trash. Wash your hands after inserting the tampon.Remember that you should always pull out the previous tampon before introducing a new one! When the time comes to change the tampon, pull down on the string to pull it out. Pull at the same angle you inserted the tampon. You can flush the used tampon down the toilet or wrap it with toilet paper and throw it in the trash.
Always use tampons with the minimum degree of absorption required. Change the tampon every 4-8 hours and never leave it in for more than 8 hours.
